BENJAMIN RICHARDSON was born about 1738 in Bedford County, Virginia. He died on February 2, 1790 in Bulloch County, Georgia. Benjamin and Sarah moved to what was to become Bulloch County, Georgia from Tyrell County, North Carolina in 1770. He was granted land in Georgia based on his Revolutionary War service. A historical marker in Sylvania, Screven County, shows the name Benjamin Richardson among the first Justices of the Peace in that county. He was married to SARAH MIZELL about 1771 in Bulloch County, Georgia.

SARAH MIZELL was born about 1750 in Bulloch County, Georgia. She died in Bulloch County, Georgia.

BENJAMIN RICHARDSON and SARAH MIZELL had the following children:

i. Penelope RICHARDSON was born in 1763 in North Carolina. She died in 1841 in Washington Parish, Louisiana. She married William Williams.

ii. William Mizell RICHARDSON was born in 1765 in Tyrell County, North Carolina. He died in December 1817 in Bulloch County, Georgia.

iii. John RICHARDSON was born in March 1767 in Tyrell County, North Carolina. He died in March 1850 in Buna, Jasper County, Texas. He married Nancy Albritten.

iv. Frances Patterson RICHARDSON was born in 1769 in Georgia.

v. HARDY RICHARDSON.

vi. Benjamin RICHARDSON was born in 1776 in Bulloch County, Georgia. He died in 1849 in Jasper County, Texas. He married Nancy Hendricks.

vii. Amos RICHARDSON was born in 1778 in Tyrell County, North Carolina. He died before 1800.

viii. Jane RICHARDSON was born about 1780.

ix. Nancy RICHARDSON was born about 1782 in Bulloch County, Georgia. She died before 1799 in Bulloch County, Georgia.

x. James RICHARDSON was born about 1784.
